Our teachers are the heart of our school. We carefully select enthusiastic and dedicated educators, many of whom hold advanced degrees, with a solid grasp of students' educational and developmental needs. Warm and attentive, they enjoy coming to know each of their students individually, cultivating close mentor relationships.
I have served Christ at Zion New Life Preschool since 2010. I have had the opportunity to teach in our Mom's Morning Out Program, Pre-K3, and Pre-K4 VPK classrooms. Prior to joining Zion New Life Preschool I worked as a Law Firm Administrator and Case Manager for a law firm in New York State. I served as a chairperson for the Committee on Preschool Special Education and as an Early Intervention Service Coordinator. I have recently been selected as the Orange County Community Liaison for the Early Literacy program through United Way. It has been a pleasure to also have served as Secretary on the Zion New Life School Board. I currently hold a National Child Development Associate Credential, Staff Credential, and a VPK Endorsed Florida Director's Credential. I am also a current member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and the Lutheran Education Association (LEA).
Assistant Director/VPK Teacher:
I am thrilled to be a part of the Zion team! I have over 20 years teaching kindergarten. All of my teaching has been in a Christian environment and I wouldn't want it any other way. I love watching the metamorphic transformation that takes place in children throughout the year! It is amazing to watch them grow at their own pace and blossom.
VPK Teacher Assistant:
I was born in Orlando, Florida. I'm the mother to a beautiful 2-year old named Raegan who currently attends Zion New Life's "Wee School." I have worked in Early Childhood for 7 years and currently have a National Child Development Associate Staff Credential. I thoroughly enjoy watching each child's individual development grow and blossom into their very own unique personality. In my spare time, I like to read and travel with my family. I feel very blessed to be a part of Zion New Life Preschool and look forward to working with your child in this Christ-centered learning environment.
3 Year Old Teacher:
I've been working in childcare for 8 years. I've received my National Child Development Associate Certificate and have worked in Pre-K3, Pre-K4. I enjoy working in our 3-year-old classroom here at Zion New Life Preschool. I've been married to my husband for 16 years and we have been blessed with 3 beautiful children, Brayden 13 years, Justin 10 years, and Maya is 5 years-old. When I am not busy with the Terrific Three’s at Zion New Life, I love to read and spend time with my family.
3 Year Old Teacher Assistant:
Children fill our lives with joy and laughter. Here at Zion New Life Preschool I have found the love of God in our students, parents, and staff. I discovered that early childhood education was the right path for me when my children started school in 2001. I have been blessed with a loving husband, Clem, for 21 years. I am a mother of two wonderful teenagers, Hannah 16, and Nathan 15.
2 Year Old Teacher:
I am excited to be helping your child grow in Christ and in their academic education. I have worked in preschool education for 9 years. I have my degree in Early Childhood with Early Literacy. I started teaching in a Christian learning center and I knew that is where God called me to teach. I began my teaching journey as a teacher’s assistant for 2 years. I became a lead teacher in a Pre-K3 program. From there, I have taught children ages 1 to 4 years. I am the mother to 3 amazing and beautiful girls. Mary and Alex (twins) just turned 13 and my youngest daughter, Isabel, is 9-years-old. After I take off my preschool teaching hat each day, I put on my volunteer hat. I volunteer in various schools and after school programs with my children. It is because of the children, parents, and staff at Zion New Life Preschool that I am a teacher! I truly feel blessed to be part of this amazing team! I look forward to getting to know your children and helping them grow in the walk with Christ and their early childhood journey.
