You need JavaScript enabled to view it was born in Seattle, Washington on Dec. 26, 1945.  His father (also a pastor) then served several parishes in Michigan and served as Executive Director of Evangelism for the Michigan District, so Pastor attended elementary and high school in Michigan. Pastor attended and graduated from Concordia Ann Arbor and Concordia Fort Wayne.   He graduated from Springfield Seminary in 1973 with a Masters of Divinity.

Pastor’s first call was to Dewberry, Indiana.  He served several parishes in Michigan and Ohio before coming to Zion in 1995.

Pastor is married to Gladys (Wendt), a Lutheran Schoolteacher.  He has four sons and seven grandchildren.
